We Won Judges’ Choice at the First-Ever Bites & Vines!
On Thursday evening, September 17, downtown Livermore hosted the first-ever Bites & Vines: Taste of Downtown, put on by Livermore Downtown, Inc. We were thrilled to be part of it, and even more thrilled with how the night turned out.
The idea was simple and a lot of fun. Guests strolled from business to business through downtown, sampling from more than 18 local wineries and breweries, tasting bites from local restaurants, and discovering the shops that make our downtown special.
At Word on the Street Books, we partnered with our good friends from Charles R Vineyards. Strollers came in with a glass in hand, sipped some excellent wine, and browsed the shelves. Wine and books really are a perfect pairing, and it was a joy to watch people linger, chat, and discover something new to read. The weather cooperated beautifully, too: a perfect evening to be out and about downtown.
To cap it all off, we took home the Judges’ Choice award for Best Shopping Experience! For a store that has only been open a few weeks, that recognition means the world to us. Thank you to the judges, to everyone who stopped in, and to Charles R for being such a wonderful partner.
