1.
One Italian Summer
Rebecca Serle
Why did you like it?
I read this book shortly after my mom passed away, and it felt like exactly the book I needed at that time. I had always viewed my mom as a woman in complete control, and she was my go-to person for everything. She always knew just what to do. It might seem unusual, but reading this book helped me realize that my mom was once young and faced the same challenges I do.

2.
The Collected Regrets of Clover
Mikki Brammer
Why did you like it?
I absolutely loved the main character, Clover! This heartwarming story was so inspiring, which you wouldn’t expect given that the main character is a death doula, but go figure. This book inspired me to live a better life!

3.
Heart the Lover
Lily King
Why did you like it?
As a woman in my middle years, I found this book deeply relatable, prompting me to reflect on how my past relationships have shaped my life. That kind of reflection doesn’t happen often when I’m reading, and it was a welcome and emotional experience.

4.
Wreck
Catherine Newman
Why did you like it?
As someone in midlife dealing with anxiety, I strongly connected with the main character, Rocky, on many levels. As a reader, I really appreciate it when such a relatable connection occurs.

5.
Port Anna
Libby Buck
Why did you like it?
This book inspired me to plan a trip to Maine! I love emotional, atmospheric, nostalgic novels, and this one delivered on every count.
